Tri-Synergy's Winning Team Go the Extra Mile Again

For the second year running Tri-Synergy’s team have been declared winners in the BIG Green Commuter Challenge in Havant.

Our environmentally-friendly employees demonstrated that they were prepared to reduce their carbon footprint by participating in the week-long initiative designed to reduce pollution and traffic congestion.

The BIG Green Commuter Challenge was run by Portsmouth City Council and supported by Fareham, Gosport and Havant Borough Councils.

In recognition of Tri-Synergy’s success they were invited to attend a special prize-giving ceremony at Portsmouth Guildhall. Representing the company was Tri-Synergy’s Key Account Manager, Natalie Gidney.
Trophies, prizes and certificates were presented by The Lord Mayor of Portsmouth, Cllr Cheryl Buggy, a past President of the Portsmouth & South East Hampshire Chamber of Commerce.

By deciding to car-share and cycle, each member of our participating team saved a commendable 42.5 miles during the week. Our total number of miles saved during the initiative was 298.

Managing Director, Tina Webb, who cycled from her home in Hayling Island, said:  “We are thrilled to retain our crown as winners in the BIG Green Commuter Challenge.  “As holders of the ISO 14001 environmental management system accreditation, we take our responsibilities towards the environment very seriously.
“Commuting by more fuel efficient sustainable modes of transport not only benefits the health of our team, but also helps to reduce the effects of climate change.”

Last year within the Borough of Havant, a total of 1,501 employees took part saving a total of 6,056 miles and 2,379kg of emissions.
